Our Story
Born from a simple idea and two siblings.
Estar opened in 2023 with a clear conviction: Manizales deserves a place where staying is, in itself, part of the experience. Siblings Rafael and Daniela Castaño — lifelong Manizaleños — saw that the local options, between impersonal hotels and tangled rental contracts, left a huge gap. They decided to fill it.
The name says it all. «Estar» — the Spanish verb for being in a place — is not just a word, it's an invitation. To rest without rushing, to move through the city freely, to feel part of the neighborhood. Every apartment was designed with exactly that in mind.
Today, our guests — tourists, digital nomads, medical residents, families passing through the Coffee Axis — find in Estar what conventional hotels and rental platforms don't always offer: a thoughtfully designed temporary home.
