Child Protection (ESCNNA)

1. Institutional Commitment

At estar, we are firmly committed to protecting and defending the rights of children and adolescents. We categorically reject and maintain a zero-tolerance policy against any form of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESCNNA) related to tourism or any other activities within our properties.

2. Control and Registration Policies at Check-In

To ensure a safe environment and comply with local regulations, we apply strict control policies for minors at check-in to our apartments:

• Mandatory Accompanying: Every guest under 18 years old must check in accompanied by at least one parent or a legally appointed guardian.
• Required Documentation: The minor's Birth Certificate and/or government-issued ID card must be presented (in physical or digital format), along with the accompanying adult's ID or passport.
• Authorization for Third Parties: If the minor is traveling and staying with an adult other than their parents (relatives, friends, or temporary guardians), it is mandatory to present a written authorization signed by at least one parent, which must be officially notarized, alongside photocopies of the authorizing parents' IDs.

If the required documentation is not provided at the time of check-in, the minor's check-in will be denied, and standard booking cancellation policy penalties will apply.

3. How to Report and File a Complaint

If you suspect or witness any situation that puts the physical, psychological, or sexual integrity of a minor at risk, we urge you to report it immediately to the authorities through the following official channels:

• ICBF (Colombian Family Welfare Institute): National toll-free hotline 141 (available 24/7).
• National Police: National emergency hotline 123.
• Attorney General's Office (Fiscalía): Toll-free national reporting hotline 122.
